Kawayu Onsen – Shingu – Nachi – Katsuura

Your hand luggage will be transferred separately to your accommodation in Katsuura and will arrive in the afternoon (17: 00-19: 00hrs). Please leave it in the lobby upon checking-out.

Breakfast at the hotel.

After picking up your picnic lunch at the hotel, departure from Kawayu Onsen on a local bus without a guide to Shingu. In Shingu you will take the local train to Kii-Katsuura without a guide. (The bus stop is in front of the Shingu train station).

At Kii-Katsuura you will meet the English speaking guide and, after a picnic lunch in the area, you´ll take the local Kii-katsuura bus to Daimonzaka to start your second day of the Kumano Way with the English speaking guide.

Walk up the stairs of Daimon-zaka to the Shinto Shrine of Nachi and visit it as well as the Seigantoji Temple. From the top you will see the Nachi waterfall in the distance, and then you will come down walking (approx. 3km in total).

Visit of the Nachi Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Japan. Departure from Nachi by local bus to Katsuura without a guide. Arrival to Katsuura and transfer to your hotel by ferry on your own.

Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at the NAKANOSHIMA HOTEL -or similar-, for 1 night.

There is no visit to the Hayatama Shrine, the Shinto Shrine of Kamikura or the Gotobiki-iwa rock.
